Her Store, Her Story – Meet Jenny, owner of Celebrate with Kerby’s at Hillcrest Corner
“Hello, I’m Jenny Kerby, the proud owner of Celebrate with Kerby’s, and I’d love to share a little about how our store came to be.
My journey in retail began at the age of 15. I’ve always had a passion for working with people, and retail gave me the perfect opportunity to connect with customers and be part of their special moments. In 2014, I opened my first store at Hillcrest Corner under the Cardies franchise, which I purchased from my dear friend Lynda. A year later, in 2015, I expanded and opened a second store at Watercrest Mall.
In 2020, I made the exciting decision to launch my own brand: Celebrate with Kerby’s. This allowed me to offer a wider range of products and create a space where customers could find everything they need for gifts and parties, all in one place.
The past few years have been a journey. From the devastation of the riots that destroyed our Watercrest branch, to navigating the challenges of COVID-19 and floods, it’s been a rollercoaster. But thanks to my incredible staff, supportive suppliers, and our loyal customers, we’re still here – and stronger than ever.
